In episode 207 of the Mechanical Care Forum, I’m returning from the annual medical mission work in which I’ve been involved over the past several years. I share some of my thoughts regarding the benefits that one might experience while participating in donated services as well as some of the history of “Cause-Based Marketing.” Additionally, I’m joined by four of the colleagues who traveled to Peru for the inaugural pilot effort, Mechanical Care Everywhere, which occurred August 2017. If you’ve ever wondered if there are benefits from offering your services through a form of donated effort--locally or abroad--have a listen. Perhaps you’ll be convinced it’s something worth trying! This week on MCF!
